ANDREW ZIMMERN is a chef, food writer, and teacher, as well as the host of the Travel Channel's hit show, Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern and Bizarre Foods America. Andrew has been a featured guest on various popular national television shows such as NBC's Today Show, The Dr. Oz Show, Access Hollywood, Nightline, and E!'s The Soup. Born and raised in New York City, Andrew currently resides in Minnesota with his wife and son.
MOLLY MOGREN has worked with Andrew Zimmern since 2007, and while her favorite bizarre food is smelt fries (that's deep fried, whole fish), she's typically craving a regular ol' slice of pizza or spicy Thai food. She lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Don't read before meals!

My son (13 yrs old) loves this funny and fact-filled collection of wild foods and some of the history and culture behind them -- tarantulas, hot dogs, spam, and the list goes on. This is great nonfiction for fans of Zimmern's "Bizarre Foods" show (all ages) but especially good for kids who don't like information in textbook-like formats. This is laugh-out-loud funny and good for you, too. But don't tell the kiddos about that last part.

Great book for the hesitant reader

For all those who have come across a hesitant reader this is a great book. I see this ever year as a classroom teacher. This book is not only interesting to children, it is also full of amazing fun facts that they will want to come and tell you about. I also found it to be quite interesting and informative as well. It has proven to be a great book to read along with not only my students but my own younger children. You will not be disappointed with this book.

Love, love, love. What a great book to share with the kiddos and their lil pallets. Always enjoyable to get adventurous/creative with food. I think the authors do a great job encouraging children to think outside the 'pizza' box in terms of their food selections. Great work AZ and MoMo :)
