Well paced thriller

Chelsea Cain has done it again. She continues to perfect her craft even at the top of her game. I read some of the reviews here and while I cannot disagree that the story treads on familiar ground, that's what one expects from a series. Archie continues to be a pill-popping hot mess but hey, that's what we love about the guy, right? His fallibility. His determination against all odds. His quirky brand of heroism. His dark twisted obsession with a beautiful serial killer and his developing love of the always-kooky Susan. He's a mass of contradictions which is what makes him an interesting protagonist. Kudos to Cain for bringing us even more Portland lore. I loved the use of Lake Oswego as a backdrop. Thanks for continuing to shine your bright light in the literary world. We need more like you, Chelsea Cain!

very descriptive and easy to get into

This entire series has been a page turner for me, I haven't wanted to put any of the books down since I started! I keep checking the website waiting for the next book to come out and not wanting to read any of Mrs. Cain's other books until the last Archie and Gretchen book is written. The book is well written, very descriptive and easy to get into. Mrs. Cain grabbed my attention immediately through her descriptions of the characters as well as appealing to the readers emotions.

Ms Cain's writing has developed steadily with each book and in my opinion find her latest installment her best work yet. I flew through this book in no time and found myself not wanting to put it down. Simply loved it...cannot wait for her next A and G adventure. Keep it going...
